Department Introduction

Department of Civil Engineering
Introduction
The Department of Civil Engineering (Civil Engineering Program) focuses on the planning, investigation, design, construction, and maintenance of social infrastructure systems that preserve, manage, and improve the natural environment to provide optimal living conditions for society. As a discipline that directly contributes to public welfare, it integrates key areas such as water resources, environmental engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation, and construction. The program aims to cultivate highly skilled professionals by combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications, while incorporating advanced techniques such as data analysis, modeling, and optimization. It ultimately seeks to address emerging societal challenges, including sustainable infrastructure development, climate change adaptation, and disaster risk management.
