Student Exchange
1. Overview
- Student Exchange allows students to take courses at an overseas partner university and apply to have the credits recognized by GSP through the required review and approval process.
2. Eligibility
- Applicants must be expected to complete two semesters at GSP before departure.
- Applicants must have earned at least 12 credits and achieved a GPA of at least 3.5 as of the preceding semester.
- Applicants must meet the requirements specified in the relevant recruitment notice and by the host university.
- Exchange participation during the intended graduation semester is restricted.
3. Study Period and Enrollment
- The overseas study period is limited to one semester.
- Students must study at GSP for at least three semesters, regardless of the exchange period, to graduate.
- A leave of absence during the exchange period is not permitted unless illness, an accident, or other unavoidable circumstances prevent continued study.
4. Tuition and Scholarships
- Students must pay tuition to GSP during the exchange period.
- The scholarship category applicable in the semester immediately preceding the exchange will apply.
- Host-university registration procedures and any additional fees must be checked against the relevant agreement and university guidance.
5. Credit Recognition
- Credits earned abroad may be recognized as major required or major elective credits, within the limits established by GSP regulations.
- Courses may be reviewed for recognition whether or not equivalent courses are offered at GSP.
- Recognition requires review by the department head and approval by the Dean of GSP.
- The department head determines course classifications and credit values, taking into account the student’s major and instructional hours per semester.
- Grades are recorded as Pass (P) or Fail (N).
6. Application and Selection
- Applicants must submit the required documents by the deadline specified in the recruitment notice.
- Selection criteria are determined by the committee, and final selection follows the document screening and interview procedures announced for that semester.
